Rosamund Mary Elizabeth Pike was born on 27 January, 1979 in London, U.K. as the only child of a professional opera singer and concert violinist, she undoubtedly inherits the love for performing arts from her parents, Julian and Caroline Pike. Their lifestyle prepared her for the gypsy existence of a professional actress as the family lived out of suitcases, travelling for their performing careers. While Rosamund turned 7 years old, she and her parents traveled throughout Europe. Then he went to boarding school for girls in Bristol, where he studied not only General subjects but also studied music and cello playing. She then was educated in the College Wadham at the University of Oxford, specializing in English literature. At the same time began to acting on stage, appearing in lead roles in many popular productions at the Oxford Playhouse. Rosamund pike played in such performances as Romeo and Juliet, The Taming of the Shrew, The Libertine and All my sons, and together with the troupe toured different countries in Europe and Asia.

Rosamund then made the transition from the stage to television, and starred in many mini-dramas in the UK. Her big screen debut came in 2002 when she was cast as Bond girl Miranda Frost in Die Another Day, despite never having watched any of the films in the spy series. Rosamund admitted feeling intimidated by working with veteran actors Pierce Brosnan, Halle Berry and Judi Dench in the movie. The role landed her international attention and earned her the 2003 Empire Award for Best Newcomer.

Since December 2009, Rosamund has been in a relationship with Robie Uniacke, a businessman and mathematical researcher. The couple is not planning to officially register their relationship.

“You try to do the right thing and the conventional thing, and it doesn’t work, and then you’re free again. It is interesting to break all the rules. I’m not married, I have a baby, and it feels infinitely more right.” She told an interview to Vogue, 2012.

They have two sons. She gave birth to their first son, named Solo, in May 2012 and to her second son Atom, with Uniacke, in December 2014.
